You can navigate your book quickly with the page turn features. You can turn pages individually, or turn many pages at a time.

To turn to the next page: Tap the right side of the screen or swipe your finger on the screen from right to left.

To turn to the previous page: Tap the left side of the screen or swipe your finger on the screen from left to right.

To go quickly to a particular page:

1. Tap the center of the screen to bring up the Reading Menu.
2. Tap the  Navigate icon.
3. Scroll through your book:

• Tap and hold the circle on the slider at the bottom of the screen. Move the circle from left to right to move forward or backward in the book.
• Tap the Snapback icon to return to your original spot in the book.
• Tap the Chapter Back or Chapter Forward icon to skip one chapter ahead or one chapter backward.

Quick Flip

Quick Flip lets you skip through many pages in a book with a simple gesture. You can skip pages individually, or by chapter.

To use Quick Flip, while reading:

Tap and hold the left or right edge of the screen to move backward or forward in the book.
You’ll see a ripple animation underneath your finger as the pages turn.
The longer you hold your finger on the screen, the faster the pages turn. Continue holding your finger on the screen to skip through chapters instead of pages.

The Table of Contents lets you browse a list of chapters in your book. You can use it to jump directly to any chapter.

While reading:

1. Tap the Table of Contents icon at the top middle of the screen.
2. Go directly to any listed chapter by tapping the chapter name.

While reading:

1. Tap the center of the screen to bring up the Reading Menu.
2. Tap Overview in your iPad, or type the Menu icon and then Overview in your iPhone.
3. You can close your book, Share to Facebook or Twitter or via Email, and read a synopsis. Tap the book cover to enlarge your book cover.

While in your Library:

• Tap and hold the cover of any book.

Follow these instructions to change the look of text while reading a book in your Kobo app on your Apple device.

Changing text size for iPod

1. Tap the centre of the screen to bring up the Reading Menu.
2. Tap the Settings icon at the top right.
3. Tap the Text icons to change text size.

Changing text style for iPod

1. Tap the centre of the screen to bring up theReading Menu.
2. Tap the Settings icon at the top right.
3. Tap the Wrench icon to bring up advanced settings.
4. Change the page presentation, page transition style, font or text alignment.
5. Tap Back to return to your book.

Change your screen’s brightness or turn night reading on/off.

 

Note: Day mode is black text on white background. Night mode is white text on black background.

For iPad:

1. While reading a book, tap the centre of the screen to bring up the Reading Menu.
2. Change the screen brightness and turn night reading on or off by tapping the Brightness settings icon in the bottom menu.

For iPod:

1. While reading a book, tap the centre of the screen to bring up the Reading Menu.
2. Tap the Gear icon on the top right.
3. Change the screen brightness and turn night reading on or off by tapping the appropriate icons.
