Resetting your password

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it so that you choose a new password. To protect your account even further, you can change your password every few months.

Note: You reset your password using an email that’s sent to you. This email expires after five hours. If the email expires you can request another reset and get a new email.

Resetting your password
If you forget your password, you can reset it. Resetting your password means choosing a new password for your Kobo account.

To reset your password:

  1. Navigate to the Kobo website.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Click Forgot password?
  4. Fill in the email address you used to create your Kobo account.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. An email will be sent to your inbox with a link that will allow you to create a new password.


Changing Your Password
You should change your password if you think it has been found out, or if you accidentally saved it on a public computer. It’s always best to keep your password secret to safeguard your personal information.

To create a new password:

  1. Navigate to the Kobo website.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Click My Account.
  4. Under Change Password, fill in the text boxes.
  5. Click Save.
    • Your password is changed and you should use the new one the next time you sign in.
